Meet the Directors

Director of Operations

Natalie

Hi, my name is Natalie and I am the Director of Operations and Nominated Individual. I am one of the founders of NE Help. I have worked within the social care sector for more than 15 years and qualified as a social worker in 2016. I have continued to uphold social work standards of practice along with my annual registration.

My career path has taken me down many avenues across the years. I have worked as a manager, area manager, safeguarding lead, and Head of Operations for supported accommodation. I have supported individuals opening their own provisions and been that critical friend to ensure they are compliant.

I have a Level 3 award in training and education and can deliver the following: Level 3 FAA – First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid, CPR & AED, Basic Life Support, Oxygen Therapy, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Fire Safety Awareness, Manual Handling, Anaphylaxis, Annual Assessment.

I am passionate about supporting young people to achieve their hopes and aspirations and gain the skills to live independently in the community, irrespective of the hardships they may be facing. Part of the ethos at NE Help is that every young person deserves to feel safe and be supported as they navigate their journey from childhood to adulthood.

Director of Quality Assurance

Rebecca

Hi, I am Rebecca and I am the Director of Quality Assurance and one of the founders of NE Help. I have worked within the social care sector for more than 20 years. Between 2008 and 2015, I worked as a Referral Coordinator on the Adult Social Care Direct Team and was first point of contact for safeguarding referrals. Between 2015 and 2017, I worked as a Contract Management Officer for Commissioning at Gateshead Council and my role was to inspect adult residential and nursing homes, children’s homes, specialist education and residential settings, foster agencies, secure units and learning disability provisions. I have also worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a provider of semi-independent supported accommodation for young care leavers ensuring compliance with governing bodies. More recently, I have worked for the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) as a Regulation 44 monitoring visitor, completing monitoring visits to ensure providers remain compliant.

I have a Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management. I have a Level 3 award in Education and Training, specialising in delivering training in Level 2 & 3 Safeguarding Children, Young People & Adults at Risk, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, CPR & AED, Basic Life Support, Paediatric First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Oxygen Therapy and Manual Handling.

I am passionate about supporting young people and providing them with the tools to thrive in society. Everybody should have the opportunity to feel safe, cared for and valued and, at NE Help, we utilise all of our skill-set to give young people every possibility to flourish in society.

Director of Property & Acquisitions

Max

Hi, I am Max and I am the Director of Property & Acquisitions. I have worked in the north-east property sector for more than 15 years across various roles and I am currently Managing Director of North East Property Investment (NEPI) which manages over 400 properties across the region. I have a particular interest in providing good quality homes to those with acute housing needs and, as such, work closely with a number of local community interest companies, registered providers and councils to improve the quality of housing for those in need. I am a regular contributor and commentator on property matters for The Daily Telegraph and am a trustee of North East Housing Association. I have a BA Hons Degree in Business.
